CrimeCity Disco is a small, Berlin based, vinyl-only label with their heart & soul in Malmö,Sweden. The labels’ focus lay in the deep, slow and disco influenced side of house.
We proudly present our first release, a split EP featuring 2 young newcomers, both living in Berlin. On the A-side you find Peter Power
(resident and booker for highly regarded nightspot “Kleine Reise”) who is providing us with a dark, driving house track
containing a heavy kick, hypnotic pads & suggestive percussion.
On the B-side we find a slow-building deep-house cut, with a chunky beat and smooth vocal created by Josef Jaktmark (a Swede who has found his new home in Berlin); perfect for hot summer days and hazy after-hour parties.
The label was born with a vision to create a DIY-feeling, and to find and release music from new talent. We launched in the beginning of 2011 with help from friends and family.
CCD001 has a hand-painted cover made by Simon Persson and is limited to 300 copies.
